What to do when choosing schools, what questions to ask and useful information for any challenges (including an overview of autism). There is a also a young person’s section to read, which includes some mindfulness techniques. The other pages have information for educators, the value of visual structure for students and mental well-being support.

This emotional check in leaflet was designed to support children throughout the day, perhaps before lunch and at the end of they day. Writing down thoughts can help children understand their emotions better and help manage their feelings. The first page allows for a scribble, which is a non-verbal process and naturally calming. The worksheet has also been designed to look less like a ‘form’ (which some children can struggle with). 1 x A4 which should be copied back to back, then folded.
